As Larnaka’s popularity continues to soar to new heights, its selection of quality accommodation is also increasing with the opening of several new and refurbished hotels, and the exciting news of the region’s very first globally branded hotel!
The Larnaka Tourism Board is thrilled to confirm that the Larnaka region will welcome the island’s first Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences (part of the hospitality giant Carlson Rezidor) in 2017 – a major investment in the port area.
The luxury hotel will boast 105 guestrooms, along with designer serviced apartments. The development will also incorporate a pool bar with sea views, a spa and health club, conference facilities, and themed restaurants, cafés and shops. President of Carlson Rezidor – Mr Wolfgang M. Neumann – said that many elements of Larnaka make it the perfect location for a Radison Blu, including its status as the island’s main gateway.
This fantastic boost to the region’s bed capacity comes hot on the heels of several other new hotels that welcomed their first guests in 2015, including the Ciao Stelio (Mckenzie), Lokal Boutique Hotel, Josephine City, Mike’s Kanarium Hotel and Rise City Hotel (city centre), plus the Palatakia Hotel in the mountainous village of Kato Drys. A further four are also in the pipeline, including the refurbishment of Lenios Hotel (Dekeleia Road), which will open next summer.
And not forgetting the one thing that all the hotels have in common… easy access to Larnaka’s sights and attractions, thanks the town’s compact nature!
