Larnaka Honours its Loyal Friends…. Again!

At the Larnaka Tourism Board, we just love it when you love Larnaka! And we firmly believe in showing our appreciation towards those who are regular visitors – after all, we are all one big ‘Larnaka family’!

This season, an additional eight ‘Larnaka’s Loyal Friends’ awards were presented to repeat visitors from Sweden, Germany, Norway and the UK. The visitors were honoured and acknowledged for their special relationship with Larnaka, and given a commemorative plaque and a bottle of ‘7 Hillsides’ wine.

Ingemar and Ann-Sofie Greander from Sweden have visited Larnaka the most times with 37 holidays, and said of their love for Larnaka: “It's a nice town; everything is close, the centre, beach, food etc. We have a lot of friends in Cyprus and Larnaka is situated in a perfect place for us. I'm Swedish in my passport but a Cypriot in my heart!”

Yvonne Jensen and Iren Juto from Sweden have also visited Larnaka 30 times and say that they like “the people, the atmosphere, the food, the sun and the weather.”

The other comments from the awardees included: “We like it for its continuous sunshine, friendly locals, many restaurants and local atmosphere", and “It is not only a tourist town, Greek Cypriot people live and work here. The facilities are excellent and it is so close to the airport".

We look forward to honouring more loyal Larnaka friends in the future!
