Train Like the Ancient Greeks
CTO-Pyla Beach will host an intense, unique obstacle course this spring when the eagerly anticipated Dorians Coastal Challenge comes to Larnaka on April 08.
The non-competitive, 5 kilometre run includes over 20 demanding obstacles and challenges along CTO-Pyla Beach’s sandy coastline, and in the shallow seawaters, making it one of the few obstacle courses of its kind in the world! It is named after one of the four major ethnic groups of Ancient Greece, which was divided into the Dorians, Aeolians, Achaeans, and Ionians.
Open to anyone over the age of 16 (conditions apply), the event can be entered solo or as a member of a team, and is a fantastic experience that will ‘test your endurance, perseverance, mental toughness and team spirit’.
Spectators are also welcome to watch the event from the designated watching areas - free of charge, whether to cheer friends, family or colleagues on, or just to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy an alternative day out.
The LTB is an official partner of the event and always welcomes new, fresh and exciting initiatives that both locals and visitors can enjoy, with Dorians Coastal Challenge anticipated to be one of year’s biggest.
