Welcoming Pervolia to the LTB Family!
The Larnaka Tourism Board is delighted to welcome another member to its family with the addition of the lovely coastal village of Pervolia – famous for its beautiful four-kilometre coast that includes the lighthouse beach, Faros, and makes it a popular summer destination.
Once belonging the Louisianan Royal Family during the Frankish period (1191-1489), interesting sights of the village include its churches and the Venetian ‘Tower of Regena’, which is a protected monument. Improvements and upgrades are continually taking place with many projects on the horizon, including a brand new Municipal Theatre and Cultural Centre later this year, and a coastal walkway with pedestrian/cycle path, lighting and six squares along its length.
The village also holds one of the biggest cultural events of the region with its Cultural Festival – the 14th of which will take place from September 01-04, and will include a rich entertainment programme, traditional handicraft and culinary demonstrations, film festival, stalls and much more.
The Community Council of Pervolia say that they are pleased to join the LTB and look forward to the prospects that membership will bring: “We are thrilled to be part of the LTB and look forward to welcoming more visitors to the village as a result. Pervolia is a village that offers the best of all worlds with beautiful beaches, modern infrastructure, ancient monuments and traditional events, and visitors can really experience authentic rural Cyprus here.”
