Discover Panagia Eleousa this Autumn
Idyllic Panagia Eleousa is a unique gem nestled in Kellia Village and the perfect excursion for all the family to enjoy this autumn.
The picturesque site is home to four tiny chapels (the main one being Saint Eleousa), which sit among lush greenery and are surrounded by rockery, wooden bridges, birds and animals (both free and domesticated).
The site was built on private land 16 years ago by local resident Mr Hercules who lovingly tends to it and welcomes all to freely enjoy the charming little oasis he has created.
Visitors are welcome to enter the chapels, which are tiny but impressive! Built with local materials, they differ in style and be accessed by the wooden bridges, which also link to a prayer book ornately decorated in stone.
With plenty of space to explore and roam, children will delight in all there is to see, as well as benefiting from the fresh air and beautiful, natural surroundings. And if you are there later in the afternoon, you will also get to enjoy the impressive sight of the sun setting behind the mountains!
