- Care Festival (Arts - Children & Youth) 2024
The CARE Festival (Cyprus Arts and Education) takes place at various locations and highlights and promotes the concept of care as a personal concern for each and everyone of us, but also as an expression of social responsibility, laying the foundations for a more interdependent and humane society.
Through musical and theatrical performances, storytelling and workshops for children, young people and parents, issues that plague Europe today are raised - war, migration, refugees, marginalisation of vulnerable groups and young people.
The various activities are hosted in cultural and public spaces in the Larnaka city and region, which are introduced as new Common Grounds, as meeting and creative havens for people of all ages, shedding light on their perhaps previously "unseen" aspects and creating new encounters between artists, children, young people, and parents. There is a focus on children with disabilities, ensuring their equal access to art and culture.
CARE Festival is organised by Larnaka 2030, in collaboration with the Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth and the Pierides Foundation, and with the support of: Youth Makerspace Larnaka, Pancyprian Greek Teachers Organisation, Association of Greek Secondary Education Teachers, Parents’ Association of Larnaca Secondary and Technical Education, Parents’ Association of Larnaca Primary Education, ADD-ADHD Cyprus.
