The Church of Saints Constantine and Helen
Located in the rural village of Tochni, the Church of The Saints Constantine and Helen is uniquely situated on a bridge in the centre of Tochni. The bridge is above Arkatzin river, which runs through the village.
It is said that Saint Helen herself built both the bridge and the church, founding the church with a piece of the Holy Cross. A room within the church, which serves as an Ecclesiastical Museum, contains a small piece of the Holy Cross, and a small piece of the relic of Saint Helen, which are of insurmountable religious value.
The structure of the church has been subject to several extensions and renovations to its original form throughout the years.
The Holy Bishropic of Trimythous has created a 'Pilgrimages Itineraries in Larnaka Province' website with more information on its historic churches, maps and suggested religious routes, as well as QR codes at the churches. The objective of the digital programme is to inform, highlight and promote the Christian cultural heritage of municipalities and communities of Larnaka province, under the jurisdiction of the Holy Bishopric of Trimythous.
