Rizoelia National Forest Park

The Rizoelia National Forest Park is located at the start of Larnaka within the boundaries of Aradippou Municipality and is a a protected area of 97 hectares that is included within the European Natura 2000 network.

It has over 100 plant species and varieties, including very rare ones that have been spotted here for the first time in Cyprus.   

Visitors can walk or cycle the nature trails and there is a picnic area with covered wooden picnic benches and food preparation areas; a children's play area; cafeteria with outdoor seating that overlooks sweeping views; public restrooms; observation points, benches with views, and an Instagrammable photo spot (wings) sponsored by Larnaka Tourism Board.

Along the trails the rocks are studded with natural crystal that glints in the sunlight and a wide array of different plant life can be spotted. The different vantage points of the path elevations offer panoramic forest views and views across most of Larnaka.
