Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Promenade
Larnaka city's popular central promenade has it all!
BEACH STRIP
The long, organised Blue Flag beach has fine brown-beige sands with calm and shallow seawaters, making it ideal for families. Facilities include sunbeds and umbrellas (for a fee), public conveniences, and kiosks lining the beach side. Additional facilities on the sands include beach sports courts, pentaque court, water sports operators, sand playgrounds, open-air gym equipment and beach bar. Boat trips are available from the adjacent pier. Lifeguards man the beach and are also on-hand to assist with use of the floating wheelchair that is free-of-charge to use.
DRINKING & DINING
The strip is lined with a plethora of food and drink outlets to meet all tastes and budgets, from fast-food franchises and light bites, to cafes and themed restaurants. Most venues have open-air seating all-year-round and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
CULTURE & ENTERTAINMENT
A range of cultural attractions can be found along the length of the promenade, starting from Europe Square (housing a museum and gallery), all the way to the end of the strip where Larnaka Medieval Castle and its museum can be found. Along the way, there are several Larnaka Storytelling Statues and children's activities and entertainment. The Seafront Stage and Europe Square are both used for cultural events, bazaars and markets, as well as hosting sporting events.
Free WiFi is available along the entire strip and on the beach.
