The annual carnival parade is a celebration of merriment before the fasting period in the lead-up to Greek Orthodox Easter.

The parade colourfully winds along the Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Promenade and ends at Zouchouri Square for a celebration. It consists of organised groups and schools taking part. Spectators are encouraged to dress up in carnival costume!
