Traditional Easter Bakes
Easter is also synonymous with baked goods, and particularly ‘flaounes’ (cheese, sultana and mint scones made with a special cheese that rises and does not melt easily); ‘tsoureki’ (brioche-like bread), and ‘koulouria’ (sesame seed biscuits). These traditions bring families together to bake and are eagerly anticipated. Be sure to try these delicious treats whilst in Larnaka. They are available from the bakeries or from members of the Women’s Association of Rural Larnaka who always bake with pride and passion!
