We love Larnaka, you love Larnaka, and so do presenters, personalities and television shows! Keep an eye out for the new reels and videos being shot this season that show our region through different eyes... and lenses. 

Renowned UK television cook, author and presenter ('My Greek Kitchen’ and ‘My Cypriot Kitchen’), Tonia Buxton was in Larnaka in April to film a series of reels focused on gastronomy and local producers. Tonia visited Larnaka Municipal Market and chatted to people offering authentic experiences at a donkey farm, boutique winery, cocktail workshop and a gastronomy tour. 

The production crew of popular Irish television travel series Téacs Taistil were in Larnaka in May, filming an episode for Series 4 that will air on Irish television channel TG4 in April 2026. The fun format of the show sees the three presenters given clues and challenges to immerse themselves in the local life. Larnaka features alongside Toronto, Chicago, Wisconsin, Rhodes and Bucharest.  

A short documentary on the Lefkaritika lace-making tradition of Lefkara village (in mountainous Larnaka) was shot by filmmakers Sophia Polson and Ellie Cartwright at the end of May, and aims to promote the preservation of the craft. Larnaka Tourism Board is supporting the documentary - released this summer - that is part of Sophia’s ‘Forgotten Culture’ eco and sustainability stories.

Global model Sophia Hadjipanteli (photographed for the likes of Vogue and Vanity Fair, Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel) is back in Larnaka this June for another collaboration with textile designer Michalis Pantelidis. Sophia will model Pantelidis designs based on the historical exhibits of Pierides Museum, and whilst here, will film reels showcasing Larnaka; the city she says always gives her a sense of ‘coming home’.

Larnaka Tourism Board is collaborating with five local influencers in June to promote the region’s experiences and excursions available via the new booking platform launched this season.
