Larnaka region is a top sporting destination, for both hosting and training, and autumn is a popular time of year for major events. 

World Tennis Masters Tour (MT200) - Larnaka Petrolina Cup 2026 

• When: October 4–10, 2026 
• Where: Larnaca Tennis Club 
• What: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles, for age categories 30-75 under the ITF’s international competitive circuit for senior/veteran tennis players.  

International Open Water Swimming Competition

• When: October 4, 2026 
• Where: Seawaters in front of Larnaca Nautical Club 
• What: International open-water swimming competition organised by the Cyprus Swimming Federation in cooperation with Larnaca Nautical Club. 

IDO World Championships & Diamond Grand Prix 

• When: October 9-15, 2026 
• Where: Multi-functional Center for Social Activities and Welfare of Larnaka Municipality 
• What: This week-long, international dance-sport competition takes place in Cyprus for the first time and incorporates the IDO World Championship of Latin Style & Caribbean Dances, IDO European Championship of Latin Show & Caribbean Show, and Diamond Grand Prix.

Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon 

• When: November 15, 2026 
• Where: Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Promenade 
• What: Larnaka’s largest annual marathon, attracting thousands of runners from around the world with: marathon, half marathon, 10K road race, 5K road race, 5K Corporate Race, 1K McDonald's Kids Race.
