SenDiTour (Tourism for Sensory Disabilities) Project of the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU

'SenDiTour' (Tourism for Sensory Disabilities) has the aim of the ‘Participation in tourism as an effective form of increasing the educational and social activity of people with a sensory disability’.

The project (full name: Participation in tourism as an effective form of increasing the educational and social activity of people with a sensory disability . Project Number: 2024-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000246002).

is comprised of partners from Poland, Greece and Cyprus, and aims to increase the motivation of a group of people with sensory disability to actively participate in tourism, and thus increase their educational and social activity. The project kicked off in December 2024.

First Transnational Meeting - March 27 -29 2025

The kick-off meeting took place on March 27 - 29 in Wroclaw, Poland, hosted by partner Dobre Kadry and with the participation of Cyprus partners Larnaka Tourism Board and St Barnabas School for the Blind - Σχολή Τυφλών "Άγιος Βαρνάβας", and Greek partner ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΙΝΣΤΙΤΟΥΤΟ ΝΟΗΜΑΤΙΚΗΣ ΓΛΩΣΣΑΣ "Γέφυρες Επικοινωνίας" , Ε.Ν.Γ.

The partners presented their organisations and explored inclusive tourism from the perspective of persons with sensory disability in the partner countries, as well as discussing the primary research conducted for the project. 

Day 2 of the meeting consisted of a focus group and discussion with deaf and visually impaired people on the subject of potential factors motivating them to be active in tourism. The group visited cultural institutions – urban tourism in Wrocław on Day 3, concluding a highly successful and conducive first meeting of the partners.
