SEPTEMBER
18th Mediterranean Folklore Dance, Choir and Traditional Band Festival - September 11-16, 2025 – free admission
Vibrant national costumes, energetic folkloric performances and colourful parades fill the Foinikoudes (Palm Tree) Promenade and its seafront stage!
The festival features traditional dance and music troupes from around the world under a theme of inclusivity this year, and the opening night welcomes the world-renowned traditional dance group in wheelchairs ‘Galgalei Rishion’, accompanied by 60 dancers.

Honey Children's Festival - September 21, 2025 – free admission
Melini village (part of the Rural Larnaka Honey Villages) holds an annual children’s festival dedicated to bees as part of its beekeeping tradition. The event is designed to be both fun and educational and includes entertainers (clown, magician, mascot, balloon twister, face painter) and entertainment (performances, art, stories), as well as rows of kiosks and informational stops along the way.

4th Zorba Cyprus International Zeibekiko & Greek Dance Festival - September 26-28, 2025
With workshops and events for dancers – and a focus on traditional styles - the festival also features performances for the public, including the 'Cyprus Zorba Championship Dance' competition taking place at Larnaka Medieval Fort.

OCTOBER
Festival of Tradition & Culture – October 1, 2025 – free admission
Larnaka region’s largest traditional event takes place at a different rural village each year, landing in Anglisides for this year’s edition with a theme of ‘Tastes of Olives and Aromas of Tradition’.
The event is even more special this year as it marks 20 years of the festival being organised by the ‘Women’s Association of Rural Larnaka’ (WARL); a collective of women from Larnaka region’s rural and mountainous communities who preserve and promote traditional gastronomy and folkloric customs.
Visitors can expect stalls laden with homemade, handmade traditional products, folkloric entertainment, gastronomy demonstrations, and activities for children, among other surprises in the rich programme!

Larnaca Biennale - October 15 – November 28, 2025
The 4th edition of the Larnaca Biennale is bigger than ever with the theme ‘Along Lines and Traces’ and the participation of two world-renowned artists alongside those selected through an open call.
Italy/USA-based artist Ann Tarantino and UK artist Steve Messam will visit Larnaka to create site-specific installations that transform the city’s public spaces and “spark conversation between residents, visitors, and the city itself”.
The major cultural event features a main exhibition and parallel events such as concerts, dance, theatre, performances, lectures, and workshops.

NOVEMBER
Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon – November 16, 2025
Running shoes at the ready for the region’s largest marathon that attracts hundreds of runners from around the world and crowds of spectators cheering them on!
The annual marathon incorporates 42KM Marathon, 21KM Half-Marathon, 10KM Road Race, 5KM Road Race, 5KM Corporate Race, 1KM Fun Race and 1KM McDonald’s™ Kids Race, that take in the city’s coastline and scenic backdrops.
