Larnaka Tourism Board is hosting an EU project partner meeting in October and is also attending two in September as the programmes we are participating in progress.
H.I.R.E (Hotel Inclusive Recruitment Education)
The next TPM (Transnational Partner Meeting) for the project is in Athens on September 25-27, 2025, whilst the Guide for Hotel Managers and Teams in all its forms has been completed.
The guide contains valuable research on the project aims. It covers the topics of: challenges facing the hotel sector; the value of Aged 50+ persons without prior experience entering hotel employment; unlocking the potential of Deaf and hard-of-hearing employees, and the benefits for hoteliers when employing mature and Deaf persons.
Alongside the printed version, there are also digital versions, which can be accessed here:

MAAS (Match, Attain and Sustain: New Methods for Europe’s Job Brokers Supporting Tourism Businesses, Ukrainian Refugees and Job Seekers)
Larnaka Tourism Board will host the next TPM on October 30 & 31, 2025, welcoming the partners from Greece, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Iceland and Ukraine to Larnaka. The meeting will cover the progress of several work packages, including the eTracker platform and the results of the validation of the eGuide.
The eGuide validation consisted of interviews with relevant parties to assess the usability of the informative platform that includes the Master Classes and materials of the Community of Practice (CoP sessions).
Larnaka Tourism Board interviewed personnel from one of the region's high-star hotel's, and Ukrainian refugees living in Cyprus, contributing to the final version of the eGuide that will form part of the project deliverables.
